In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, streets, railways, government offices, and houses. PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine planting and bombings using explosives on public roads and bridges, with the aim of causing injuries to the public and destroying regional development.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 June 2026, around 11:45 am, a report stated that the body of a man with shrapnel injuries had been brought to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Aung, aged 51, a resident of Kone Zaung Village in Pwintphyu Township. According to the investigation, the victim was returning home on foot from Ku Gyi Village. Around 9:30 am on the same day, when he reached on the dirt road between Sat Tan Village and Kone Zaung Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, U Kyaw Aung died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, around 12:00 pm on the same day, a report stated that a woman and a child with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Taungdwingyi Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as Daw Htay Htay Aung, 32 years old and her two-year-and seven-month old son, Mg Hein Htet Oo, both residents of No. 4 Ward in Taungdwingyi Township. According to the investigation, the victims were returning home by motorcycle from Thiri Yadana Village. Around 8:00 am on the same day, when they reached an area between Wah Thone Pyu Village and Thiri Yadana Village, an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded on the roadside, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
